With such a leadership, the state has been weakening.” “The very concept of the state has weakened, regional and global politics is on the verge of a new stage,” he said in the statement that indicated he has garnered support from some powerful nation to move ahead. The Nepalese people were losing their patience due to the mismatch between power-ravenous leadership and peoples aspiration, he said. Gyanendra was removed from the Narayanhiti Palace, from where the Shah dynasty resided, in May 2008 after Nepal's newly first Constituent Assembly abolished monarchy and converted the country into a republic.

Customs officials from China and Nepal agreed on operation of earthquake-damaged Khasa-Tatopani border point, the main trade route for bilateral trade, at the earliest possible date. Two sides held bilateral meeting here on Tuesday on a range of issues and resuming the closed border points was the most important topic. The route has remained closed since the quake hit Nepal ono April 25 due to massive damages on both sides of the border. The quake had damaged customs and other infrastructure on the both sides which forced China to relocate its government offices of Khasa to Kuti, another nearby Tibetan market. Damodar Regmi, deputy director general of Nepal's Department of Customs, who led Nepalese team during the meeting, said the Chinese side agreed on establishing its customs office either in Khasa or another nearby point, wherever it is feasible, to resume operation of the route.

An interactive map published in the Irish Times, apparently based on the data collected by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) for the Panama Papers leak, suggested that there are seven people from Nepal who are shareholders in offshore firms, and linked to the possible tax evasion. The ICIJ’s exclusive website on the leak, however, has not published their names yet. ICIJ said it will release the full list of companies and people linked to them in early May. In collaboration with the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung and 108 other media outlets around the globe, the ICIJ on Sunday published more than 11.5 million internal files of the law firm Mossack Fonseca, based in the tax haven of Panama.Thehimalayantimes

In conversation with Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli..About:The eldest child of father Mohan Prasad and mother Madhumaya Oli, KP Oli lost his mother at the age of four to smallpox which was spread like an epidemic then. After the death of his mother, Oli’s grandmother Rammaya had brought him up. Prime Minister Oli’s childhood name was Dhruba. While enrolling in school, his parents changed his name to Khadga Prasad. He studied up to the fifth grade at local Pranami Middle School. According to his childhood friends, KP Oli was a smart kid from the beginning and had a sharp mind. He liked playing chess and encouraged others to take up the game as it helped in brain development, they recall. Besides, Oli also enjoyed playing football and used to make balls out of rags. He was good at scoring goals after successful dribbles, his childhood friend and distant nephew Padam Prasad Oli said. Those days, he liked writing nationalistic poems and reading those to friends, Padam Prasad continued. With help from communist leader Ramnath Dahal, Oli migrated to Jhapa in 1963 at the age of 12. Dahal was later killed in Sukhani Murders. Having been influenced by Marxist and Leninist philosophies, Oli entered communist politics in 1966.
